Supporting Organizations
Community support from a variety of sectors has been integral to the ongoing growth and development of SCOAP. These sectors include the Washington State Chapter of the American College of Surgeons, which partnered in the development of SCOAP, founding and currently participating hospitals, health plans and pharmaceutical companies.
We are grateful to the support of surgeons from the American College of Surgery who helped found and advance SCOAP, and early support from The Washington State Health Care Authority and The Washington State Medical Assistance Administration. Their contributions highlight a dedication to patient safety and high quality care.
Member hospitals are participating in this program voluntarily and support SCOAP through fees and the costs of data acquisition. These hospitals represent the cutting edge of improving quality and should be recognized for their leadership in supporting SCOAP.
The following additional organizations have enabled SCOAP to reach hospitals across Washington State through efforts such as regional meetings by providing funds used to subsidize travel and meeting expenses:
